Clocks tick-tock,
Bells ding-dong,
Drums go rat-a-tat;
Cymbals clang,
Banjos twang,
Raindrops pit-a-pat.
Parrots screech,
Ducks quack-quack,
Cats meow and purr;
Crows caw-caw,
Nags eeyore,
Dogs respond with grrrr.
Crickets chirp,
Bees buzz,
Doves and pigeons coo;
Wolves howl,
Bears growl,
Cuckoos call “cuckoo”.
Cattle moo,
Bulls snort,
Mice all squeal and squeak;
Lambs bleat,
Birds tweet-tweet,
Mating vixens shriek.
Humans burp,
And sometimes belch,
Atishoo when we sneeze;
We giggle
And we gargle
And whistle when we wheeze.
Flip flop the sandals
In the sand,
Vroom-vroom car engines roar;
For all who love
The sound of words
You couldn’t ask for more!
