When the rain is splashing down
On the fields and in the town
Singing winds begin to blow
And the flowers start to grow
How glad I am when I have seen
Those tender leaves of gentle green
They warm my heart and make it sing
For now I know at last it’s spring
Spring makes the world a happy place
You see a smile on every face
Flowers come out and birds arrive
Oh, isn’t it grand to be alive.

Sweet and uplifting bringing to mind the way it was and what it should be. Thank you for posting this poem.

Spring, Yes!! It's only 7 below zero this morning at my house, but the winds aren't as strong as they were yesterday. Snow is up to my butt and ice is everywhere. But I agree--"Oh isn't it grand to be alive."

Still very cold in Ireland, a bit of colour in the garden but my Cherry Blossom is really afraid to bloom because of the salt winds by the sea here and the bitter cold. I have brought it inside and it is blooming in a vase but I can't take in the whole tree LOL. Maire x
