Dressing Up

Is that his wedding suit?

Aye, t’is. And all the other
weddin’s, wakes, christenin’s
and Sally & Joanne’s civil partnership.

He did a great job that day…

Aye, he was always happy
if his wee girl was happy.

Doesn’t he look great?

Aye, they’ve done a fine job on him. I haven’t
seen him look this good in years. I keep on waitin’
for him to sit up and blurt out some ridiculous fact
about the ocean; I never knew what he’d come out
with next. Talking of his mouth, they’ve shoved
his dentures in. Hadn’t bothered wearing them
since he came home from hospital, last spring.
It’s the packing and the make-up, so it is.
There’d be ructions if he knew
they’d put lippy and blusher on his bake!

"I haven't seen him look this good in years," is probably what folks will say as they pass by my coffin too! Well done, Gaynor.

funny, great voice and conversation. I don't think he'd be happy in that suit though on his way out, or in, if that happens to be the way he's going. Randy
