They boldly went to outer space
To represent the human race
To aliens from far and wide
On planets unidentified—
Exotic and yet commonplace.
With others eager to debase
The Enterprise and to erase
Their dreams, both spoken and implied,
They boldly went.
Each journey to an unknown place
Brought challenges they had to face
Where differences were set aside,
Inspiring people nationwide.
And though some died, in every case
They boldly went.

I Appreciate this nostalgic poem about one of my favorite TV epics. Star Trek was then, and continues to be a profound source of contemplation on the human condition. Nicely done, Randal.

Oh, man, how I miss Star Trek! This poem beams me out of this world in turmoil for just a little while. Thanks.
