Neighborhood Watch

I didn't come here
to confront you
or to pledge
undying love
nor am I part
of an intervention
to save you
from yourself
and I am not
bearing gifts
or cash
to buy you out
of a deal
or to keep
your lips sealed
and I know
I came unannounced
not because a check
has bounced
or to be the bearer
of bad news
and I don't stand
before you
to promote
a candidate
or to get
a date
I am here
just to see
my reflection
in your eyes
to remind myself
that I am still
alive

A remarkably innovative poem. After we?re inundated with iPhone poems, this may be the first iWatch poem, slim and in perfect shape. Such a love poem!

How true. Even my last physical was enjoyable because I was able to have some masked face to face conversation with a couple human beings. Now I look forward to a trip to the orthodontist-yikes! A nice rhythm to this poem.

Love it-have actually been guilty of showing up on people's porches lately just to get a real "NON SCREEN" face to look back at me and smile ..... mask and all!! You made my double espresso morning so much better today. Thanks.
