One turquoise Czech bead,
pink flower painted on crystal;
field guides to American birds and trees;
sunglasses decorated with
dots and roses
around thin black rims;
a handmade hummingbird
feeder for my mother;
a patinaed brass conch shell;
silver earrings featuring green
aventurine gems;
an oil painting of a Druid rock circle
in a forest clearing;
five clay plant saucers for the patio;
an apricot-hued silk scarf;
note cards in bright designs;
and a much-hunted-for tall vase
for long-stemmed bouquets.
Resisting special treasures
is not one of my strong points.
But, finding them is.

Interesting how we rescue THINGS, giving them longer life, and how they add beauty to our lives. I can feel the energy at this rummage sale and its getting me interested to brake for the next garage sale. Fun!

My 94 year old aunt says "it's all just stuff". Yet, as in this poem, we see that even stuff might have a soul capable of moving us to see more deeply.
