Gold and red beckon
from every branch,
inviting me to the show.
Hurrying out the door,
warm air instantly
entertains me.
Leaves caress my sneakers
as a loving sun suggests
I tie my jacket around my waist.
Raising my arms, I applaud
autumn's encore, offering
one more sweet song
before a finale of frost.

Great rhythm that really fits the musical theme of the poem! And I love the alliteration.

Sharon Waller Knutson:
I was drawn in by the title "Autumn's Encore" and tossed immediately in the scene of this cinematic sensual musical poem. I could see the gold and red show, feel the warm air and the leaves caress my sneakers as I listen to the song of autumn. Favorite images: loving sun and finale of frost.
