Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House- Located in Concord, the Alcott family lived in this house for 20 years and Louisa wrote Little Women here.

Ralph Waldo Emerson House - Also in Concord, Emerson and his family lived here for 47 years.

MISSOURI
The Eugene Field House and St. Louis Toy Museum - Located in St. Louis, this was the childhood home of "The Children's Poet," Eugene Field.

NORTH CAROLINA
Carl Sandburg Home - National Historic Site - Located in Flat Rock, in the western part of the state, this 264-acre estate includes the Sandburg home, a Museum Preservation center, several hiking trails, and a pasture that is home to descendants of Lilian Sandburg's goat herd.

OHIO
Paul Laurence Dunbar House - Located in Dayton, the poet lived here with his mother until his death in 1906.
