Search engines on and cleared for takeoff,
my mind flies freely while both hands hover
over the keyboard controls with penmanship
relegated to the choice of a font style.
Fuel levels are good with dark roast coffee
percolating at my side as my right hand
exercises an intelligent mouse obedient
to the prompts of right and left clicks.
Visibility is excellent yet distracting birds have
once again lured me away from my work.
Sensational videos seize my meandering mind
with the temptation of brightly colored plumage.
Feathers in the search engine, I prepare for
an emergency landing as I hear approaching
footsteps. Deleting the browsing history, I repent
the low altitude that I preferred over loftier goals.
