Sunshine sparkles
on dewy petals of
the Knockout rose bush.
A furry brown chipmunk
nibbles his breakfast
on the bird feeder.
Everything may not be
all right with the world,
but some things are!

This poem feels like a haiku. Brief, but says a lot.

Merle, your poem inspires me to pay attention to the movements in nature and the beauty near my own front door. Poets do that! Good to see you!!!
