It's Winter in Minnesota

It's winter in Minnesota,
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy mile an hour
At twenty-five below.

Oh, how I love Minnesota
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Minnesota
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!!

I grew up in Missouri, and now live in California. I do not miss those days!

This day was here (St. Wendel, Minnesota)yesterday and will return tomorrow with today as a respite near twenty degrees above zero.

Brrr. I grew up in Chicago and I still can conjure up that icy, frigid feeling.

Wyoming works well in this verse because we also curse.

I have great respect for the folks who live in the cold- windy-and-snowy-winter states. I lived most of my life in wintry mountain towns in Colorado. My snow shovel was not a friend, but it certainly was a companion. I live in Arizona now. My companion is here, but idle.

This could definitely work for my great state of Illinois . . . where the temp at this hour is -4 degrees!
