He and I were alone.
He poked his beak into the
stream to capture breakfast.
I stood quietly with my camera
on the opposite bank to capture
sun's first streams of light.
Songbirds joined us
as light spilled out from
sky across the stream
onto my lawn,
providing the background
music to our mutual quests.
